Race Description
The most prestigious team e-cycling race. ZGP had its origins as the highest division of the Zwift Racing League, known as the Premier Division. For its first two seasons in ’20-’21 and ’21-’22, the race tracked ZRL: the two were one and the same, it’s just that the best teams were in the Premier Division. Starting with the ’22-’23 season though, Zwift formally separated the Premier Division from ZRL and rechristened it as ZGP. But the spirit of the race remained the same – high level, team-focused racing with complicated (sometimes too complicated) points formats that engage viewers. Following the 2023-2024 season, Zwift closed the doors on ZGP and replaced it with the Zwift World Series.
