The third World Championship, and the first to move out of the pure scratch race format by using a format Zwift had experimented with earlier in the year during the Grand Prix.
Platform: Zwift
Date: 02.18.2023
Winner: Bjørn Andreassen
Summary of Race Rules: Three races. The first was called “The Punch,” and was held on Scotland’s Rolling Highlands course (14.2 km/106m). The first 30 riders made it through to the second race, “The Climb” on Scotland’s City and the Sgurr route (8.6 km/166m). The top 10 in that race advanced to “The Podium,” the third race that consisted of four laps around the Glasgow Crit Circuit (12.3 km/133m). One rider was eliminated at the Clyde Kicker and Champion’s Sprint on each of the four laps, leaving three riders left to cross the finish line for the World Championship.
